My Grounding Abroad
I am Paul Wubbe. In 2019 my wife and I left the Netherlands to follow a different life path. We had no fixed destination, only a sense that Puglia would guide us. Over time Salento revealed itself to us as a region where the pace of life is both culturally authentic and refreshingly simple in a material sense. We started in Martina Franca, lived three years in Lecce's Centro Storico before settling in the small town of Cavallino. After the challenges of settling abroad we continue to embrace a harmonious balance between our Dutch roots and the rich traditions of the local and regional culture.
We feel at home, grounded in Salento.
Professional background
With over 30 years of international experience, I have worked as a trainer, consultant, coach and facilitator. During my career at KLM I delivered projects across Europe and Asia. I was stationed in Jakarta as a training consultant for Garuda Indonesia, led long term assignments for China Airlines in Taipei, and delivered a diversity of training programmes in the USA. These international roles demanded rapid cultural adaptation and the ability to achieve results on short timelines.
After my corporate career I have established myself as an independent trainer, consultant, and coach. I helped individuals and teams navigate cultural differences, communicate more effectively, and achieve measurable results, whether through tailored training programmes, consulting projects or facilitated development sessions.
